He is the original exponent and leading authority in the world on the influences of synthetic blends in garments on various body systems, particularly the cardiovascular system. He elucidated the effects, which include hyperventilation syndrome, psychosomatic cardiovascular disorders, heart rate, blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmias, vasospastic angina, sudden unexplained death, and the wearing of such garments as a coronary risk factor. For his excellent work in this area, he was awarded a PhD and DSc.
In 1986, he was invited to speak on the influences of synthetic blends in garments on cardiac rhythm and blood pressure in Dallas, Texas, at the Man and Environments Conference.
In Lubbock, Texas, in 1988, at the American Society of Nuclear Physics Conference, Dr. Seyal delivered a keynote address on the mode of action of synthetic blends in garments in sudden cardiac death. Three Noble Laureates, Dr. Cormak, Dr. Fowler, and Dr. Wilson, attended the meeting. Dr Seyal was the only speaker from outside the USA.
He has also spoken on the subject at various international forums in several countries, including India, Egypt, Germany, Canada, and the United States.
He has many international publications to his credit and has been researching the subject since 1981.
I’ve been associated with him in the research of blends in garments for more than twenty-five years and have found him to be a person dedicated to the cause of humanity.
After the catastrophe of September 11, 2001, he turned his attention towards the study of all the possible means of bringing the world and people of all casts, creeds, colors, and cultures under the shawl of sorority and serenity with patience and peace.
His study of the Holy Qur’an is absolutely in the new direction of science and philosophy. It is to communicate to the West that Islam is a faith of pacification with order and accord, serenity and composure. We as a human folk should discern the true message of the Qur’an in the overall interest of universal reconciliation.
I wonder how one could write the detailed elucidation of Surah Al Noor, Verse 35, without the bestowal of Allah Almighty. Similarly, his writings on the Adam of Science and the Adam of Qur’an are really fascinating to comprehend in the light of Holy Scripture. Man still remains dazed to discern the fate of the grand universe as he cannot perceive as to how this gigantic model of an ever-expanding grand universe could behave as a closed model, and Qur’an very rightly points out the lower sky, surrounding the grand universe like a football cover, the limit of its expansion when the ever-expanding (around 300,000 km/sec) grand universe, with myriad stellar bodies, would smash against the lower sky leading to a series of big crunches and eventually forming the basis for the next creation. Similarly, the scientific assertion of Me’raaj is the first-time elucidation of Prophet Muhammad’s indeterminate journey of the cosmic order. Similarly, his communication of fate and fortune is fascinating, and I believe he has interpreted this most complicated subject of faith in a very convincing way.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the scientists one day come to digest the philosophy of the Holy Scripture and appreciate its wisdom at its core.
